Puerto Rican Folktales Series

I aim to inspire creativity and tell more stories through my illustrations. One major project I worked on involved retelling Puerto Rican folktales in my art style. I created a long-strip comic of The Legend of the Hummingbird, and a set of three paintings portraying The Song of the Coqui.

Animated Series:
Hopscotch's Adventures

Hopscotch’s Adventures” was an animated series set to be shared on Lit Lessons, a website full of educational resources for teachers. It was made for 3rd-5th graders and came with curriculum assets aimed to teach students about literature.

I worked as the illustrator for this project within an animation team for Germantown Studios. The educational series followed a stuffed panda as he navigates through life with his new family. I developed concept art for the characters including the mom, dad and brother. I used tools such as Procreate and Photoshop to provide final optimized illustration files including characters, backgrounds and usable props. I also developed an organized scheduled system to provide necessary illustrations within each deadline. Overall, we created 90-minutes’ worth of animation for the series.

Watercolor Zoom Instructor

I’ve also collaborated with the Free Library of Philadelphia as a watercolor class instructor on Zoom, leading students through three simple watercolor landscape paintings. I’m a big fan of watercolor art as well as digital art, so those are the mediums I frequent the most for my illustrations.
